Finding a New Way Home Print

e’ve lived in the same house in Forest, Virginia, for over twenty-two years. A lot can be said for living in the same place for an extended time. Familiarity tops the list: You become accustomed to each of the house’s squeaks and groans; you know which noises signal a problem; and you feel comfortable with all the little nuances (translation: nuisances) that make your home unique. Each room holds special memories of the family members and friends who have visited over the years. And your car “knows” the way home from almost every location!
