 Life Training Electives

As our vision statement clearly states, “We exist as a scriptural community, seeking to make disciples of Jesus Christ …” Life Training Electives are one avenue that assists us in accomplishing this mission in three different ways:

1. We offer a variety of classes for adults that are related to spiritual growth, Bible knowledge and application, life issues, and ministry preparation. Each class is designed to better equip you for life and ministry.

2. Our Men’s and Women’s Ministries offer gender groups /classes which focus upon related issues of men and women.

3. Several classes are offered through specific Discipleship Communities designed to provide a deeper level of relationships designed to move people in discipleship.

A Survey of the Old Testament

Dr. David Babbitt — Morocco (M244)

Understanding the Old Testament is necessary for a full comprehension of the New Testament. We will follow the sequence of historical events fitting the various biblical books into that historical context. As we work our way through the Old Testament, we will find the message of God to His people and the unifying principle of the Kingdom of God. There will be a development of spiritual and practical application as we journey through the narrative together.

Join us as we study through the book of Genesis seeing God as Creator of the universe and as covenant maker. We will work through Jen Wilkin’s study, answering questions such as: Where did everything come from? Why are we here? Why is the world so broken? Advancing forward into the story of the covenants made with the fathers of our faith – Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. A workbook will be made available for purchase for $15.
